131 - Summer intensive starts

Well, I'm back at it as of today.

We're working at the U, which I personally think will make things a bit easier on space and such. The room is ok, but it's bare, it needs pictures and color :)  interior design thoughts by Jenna  - heh.

When I arrived we started with turns, which was nice. I haven't been Alexandered for a few months now. L's wife E is here working with us for the summer which is going to be fun I think. She worked with me first. It is always different to have someone new put hands on. She kept reminding me to think of my "up" which I wasn't....as we went on she looked at me and said, "Your face is NOT forward and up." um....oops. HA!

We went thru a number of turns, I worked with L and J (who may be joining us for a lot of this stuff, which is cool).

The focus is going to be the "Framework" of DART procedures. Dart was an Alexander person who expanded his studies to developmental procedure. It's pretty cool. The idea is that missing out on developmental milestones actually put you behind and that de-evolving and going back to pick up those procedures will help put you back on course for development.

We started with having someone stand behind a chair, then have them come back, push them to toes while they still come back then bring them down to feet again.

So this picture is kinda how it starts.

Then you move to their waist, like the hands show in the other picture and have them release hips and be in a monkey.

We moved from there to putting them on knuckles on the chair, like a real monkey and bearing weight.

I'm not sure if any of that makes sense to you, but it doesn't matter too much as this is really for me anyway :)

By that time we were finished and out for the day.

It was nice to be back. I have a feeling I may be on the 4 year program instead of three for finishing this certification, but - it is what it is, as long as I get it done!
