Wow, I really missed some stuff huh....
So, 12/2 : I need to be more primary to understand my primary. I shouldn't try to secondary myself my upper back and shoulders. This seems to be a little like what was happening when I was playing violin - as soon as we made me more primary I was getting a much better sound.
I have to remember that I (you, we) need to come up from hips and sit bones...we have to find them.
Note: Strong inhibition and no direction = not really inhibition
The action between the hips/head is like a trebuchet - the head and tail are attached and opposed(?) in direction.
Hips are the dominant fulcrum in the trebuchet idea.
Where is the center of gravity between the hips and head? Balance point is a floating point in the body because the spine isn't fixed or straight like a trebuchet.
Primary control is how head, neck, and back all work together. Secondary adds possibilities but it isnt what's necessary to do an activity.
*I spent the next week sick as a dog in bed. Really...a mess.

What is the relation of mind/will/matter?

12/16: Musculuature
- engaged vs. relaxed
- relaxed = no control
12/19: Musculature
- concentric and ecentric muscle movement - I had a semi-hard time grasping this one....
12/20: More muscles and body
- Ribcage is supported by sterno clido mastoid (neck muscle)
- Ribcage can become fixed in the wrong attitude
- breathing then doesn't work right
- diaphram is overworked
Hands on time tonight. I need to keep my front up while taking my back back

12/21: Class was small tonight - most of us are sick. We watched video from an AT course with Marjorie Barlow (or maybe it was Barstow).
The 1st training course was 1930.
"Think more and do less"
The only way to learn is to be wrong.
Then we did some Aikido, which was insteresting
- Centeredness - whole body balance in relationship to the ground
- Relaxation - create power - inhibition
- Alignment - creates pathway thru body to/from ground
- Connect - your center w/ your opponent allow you to feel intent of your opponent
- Direction = intention
By the time we finished we were all done. I'm not sure if we were all just tired, sick and tired, sick of each other and tired....heh. Needless to say, holiday break was well needed.
